COVID-19 PREVENTION MEASURES

  • Patients with symptoms fulfilling the clinical case definition should not attend the clinic
  • Signage at the entrance to the clinic alerts patients not to attend if suffering from the symptoms of COVID-19
  • Hand hygiene facilities and face masks are be available at the entrance and exit of the clinic. If possible, all patients should be separate in space (2 metre)
  • Where multiple chairs are in use in the same room, there is a physical spacing of at least 2 metres and a method of physical segregation that provides at least a 2-metre barrier in the horizontal and vertical plains
  • Only the person receiving treatment should attend
  • The use of face masks is mandatory in England and Scotland for healthcare staff (and in Wales for indoor spaces) and all staff members will wear masks.
  • Waiting and treatment areas are kept clean and clutter free with all non-essential items removed
